Your Prison Door is Wide Open

Glasses on everyone

Prescriptions of many kinds

Unresolved pain

Projection from the heart

Take that journey

Go turn off that machine

That lies every day

Assuming guilt to all

Subconciously banging that gavel

Take your glasses and crush them

Take your friends

Take your lovers

Take your kids

Take your past

Take your future

Take your present back

Drive in the hills

Watch the birds

Feel the breeze

Everyone wears them

Everyone hates them

Nothing is personal

Unhealed wounds

Scabs keep breaking open

More salt on the wound

The paradime of trash

No more jabs

Defenses down

Walk out of your jail cell

Your prison door is wide open

Everyone has trauma. Everyone projects their trauma on everyone around them and themselves (not purposefully or maliciously…at least most times) Everyone wears their special precription glasses where they see life thru their experiences whether they know it or not (and most people don’t even know they are doing that). There’s a personal interpretation to everything in life based off your past.

With that said, it is so dang easy to be miserable living in your past situations rather than the present reality which truly does not involve your past most times. In any relationship, if one of you can look back, do the work, feel the feelings and figure out your current reality is really not your past, then dang…let the freedom bells ring!
